Outer - Hope Fragment [Animation]

Hope fragments, where do they exist..?

This is also a request (Outertale Sans D1) for seamoon-sm on Tumblr. I picked their request because I've been receiving a lot of other requests that are highly asked. As for this one, both Outer and D1 wasn't mentioned before.

You may notice I use hope over friendship fragments. While my project is mostly referencing to Danganronpa v3, UnderDespair is actually all Danganronpa series in one big crossover AU. Using hope fragments, it might be obvious why certain characters were placed in the killing game too. I also prefer them because they're shaped like a star and make it relating to Outer as the Ultimate Astronomer.

Besides using the fragments for in-game, what if they actually give a significant into the story? Have you also wonder where and how do those even exist, to begin with? Those questions are why Outer comes to play in UnderDespair as he tries to discover its origin with his ultimate talent.

This animation is quite difficult to finish because this one took 5 hours due to my struggle in drawing hands as well as changing plans during the progress. I was planning to make Outer's hands glowing with the hope fragment but I didn't do it.

Finally, I do want people to know despite the majority says Outer should be the Ultimate Astronaut like Kaito Momota but I rejected the idea since he's more of an analytical type close to Classic with his interest in astronomy (like the telescope event in Waterfall). Kaito is also not the main character nor inspiration for Outer's role and personality (Kaito is more like Dance in personality instead).

Besides the "space" aesthetic, I considered Outer slight closer to Napstablook's character with the whole "space" event when lying on the floor as a tradition.
