Sine - Merry Christmas

Scifell Secret Santa 2018 - For aurazzy @ Tumblr.

Sine is a scifell child created and belongs to Aurazzy. I wasn't sure how I was going to draw their present until I got an idea from the character references and show off Sine's bowtie.

At first, I thought of drawing their scifell child with Sci and Edge together like a family photo but it was later scrapped after learning that Sine lives in Underfell with Edge and only once seen Sci. So, it's hard to work on it if I have to leave Sci out of the picture.

Either way, I didn't continue it because I had another idea as the final drawing since I did start on the lineart beforehand. I end up adding textures and additional colours to the piece because Sine's (jacket) fur is grey which contradicts the colours and contrast.

While adjusting it, I also didn't want to draw Sine looking slightly unhappy since he's often in a lot of sad expressions. Since it's Christmas, I'm not willing to be cruel to add some angst during a happy celebration.

Finally, I had to minorly edit his teeth because Aurazzy response to an ask that Sine does have fangs like Edge around Christmas Eve.

But overall, I was very uncertain if I could make a good artwork since I haven't made detailed drawings for ages. My doubt was erased from my thoughts after looking at the final results as I experiment more colours and textures.
