Sci and Edge spend a lot of quality time together ever since they became official. Sometimes, Sci invites his partner over to his place when he's available from work and Edge takes every chance to see his boyfriend.

One evening, Sci was sharing another moment alone with Edge as they snuggle together on the sofa. The couple are watching a show on screen until a strange moaning whines from the other side of the wall. Edge thought it was his imagination until the wailing cries louder for Sci to believe the source wasn't from the television.

"Just ignore it."

"What, why?!" Edge asks in confusion. He couldn't ignore the ghostly moans haunting them.

Sci refuses to answer and predicts the issue will resolve when the time comes, making Edge more anxious.

Eventually, Gaster —Sci's adopted father-figure — comes out from his hiding spot. He was sobbing at the newly couple. Sci remains focused on the TV while Edge puts up a disgraceful look at the creepy Gaster crying over to the kitchen. After closing the refrigerator, Gaster drastically drags his goopy body back to his room, carrying a tub of ice cream as he resumes crying.

Edge couldn't comprehend what he saw and bugs Sci for answers. Once Gaster is gone, his boyfriend explains what happened.

"Don't worry, he's upset because I'm spending time with you."

Instantly, everything clicks to Edge. He knew Sci keeps himself busy, always volunteering to work for his dad in their laboratory. Until the day Edge shows up in the picture, Gaster was left out without his son paying anymore attention to him.

Not long after, Gaster cries to himself with mix of laughter. He heard what Sci said from the other room and couldn't keep the pitiful act.

Edge cringes at the lunatic, but Sci understands his father was fooling around. In truth, Gaster is proud of his son for finding himself a boyfriend ever since he jokingly begs for grandchildren. He noticed how distant his son was before blessing Edge as his lucky soulmate for pulling Sci out from his boring everyday life.

"Why are ya smiling?" Edge notices his boyfriend's new expression.

"Oh, it's nothing," Sci smiles to himself, aware how happy Gaster is to finally give them privacy.
