Fwoof! [3126]

First half of the comic is done by computerglitch8 @ tumblr.
This is also a continuation of computerglitch8's post with permission to submit their part of the comic on this post in fair use. However, I won't be posting or sharing it on other sites like Instagram in order to stay in terms of use (I could post my part only but it may not make any sense).

Basically, Edge's fur from his jacket can show his expressions such as happiness or anger. I often draw the fur pretty sharp whenever he's angry but in this comic, his fur turns very fluffy and big, showing that's he's very soft and gay inside.

Since his fur can help anybody understand Edge's feelings, Sci doesn't. His laboratory coat's collar is always up for some whatever reason and you can guess that yourself, he's already proud to be gay the whole time.

Personally, I don't spam words like "gay" in every content that relates to same-sex pairings because sexuality doesn't cross my mind as it's something I keep to myself and that it's not common in the East. However, I do support people who're in love with somebody of the same gender as themselves. I'm still questioning my own identity but I'm fine without any labels and be myself.

Speaking of which, I've seen many people debate about Sci and Edge's sexuality but I couldn't care less. I do often see Sci as gay while Edge as bi-sexual. Regardless, I leave it up to anybody's imagination as they'll end up together in the end.

I do like to note that there's already another reason why Sci's collar is always up in my drawings. I had a writing and comic draft about his collar that it was originally Edge's idea who suggests Sci adjusting his collar to make himself look cool. Sci's character would be dull or boring if his collar wasn't up nor he met Edge, who makes his life more interesting. I'm always up for drawing cool-looking characters mainly to fit with my art style.

This is my first time using my new shading technique in a comic. It nearly took me nearly 6 hours to complete, giving an average of 1.2 hours per panel, although the 4th panel is an enlarged version of the 3rd panel.

I have struggles drawing their hands, especially Sci's hands because I'm using the reference from computerglitch8's part of the comic as a reference and match theirs as a follow-up to the topic. I also struggle badly with the speeches until I find a placement to write their words.

Overall, it feels nostalgia like I used to make comics about Sci and Edge together like the old times. The backgrounds are plain and simple like usual as they're the main focus. Lastly, I wasn't sure if I should add the last panel of the comic where Edge shows his reaction to the "plot twist" but I added it in as a bonus.
