How To World Domination [3126]

I have to become a kind person before my heart grows numb!

I wasn't happy with the traditional version of this so I end up making it better into digital. Because it's been a while since I have drawn digital art, I've been listening to How To World Domination by Neru (Mafumafu x Amatsuki vocal cover) non-stop until I finally turned mad just to finish this drawing.

"How do you like the current me?"

I could make a short PV video by using certain layers but I rather make four parts to look like screenshots. At the time I finished this and upload the speedpaint, it's already past 6 in the morning (and been working on this for over 8 hours straight).

Lately, I've been busy making sprites for my UnderDespair. Unfortunately, I want to use the same pose of Sci and Edge together as one and rather stick with one character per image. That and I didn't use the exact scale.

"Well, you can't do anything about it!" 

Speaking of the music for making this, I usually don't listen to many Japanese songs but this one surprisingly fits me as a person. Even after dealing with a lot of difficulties in life and school, I still remain a kind person in some way and grown wiser than before. Despite my interactions with people from the past, nobody can change who I am now.

Also, I can say the same thing for Sci and Edge together in this song, especially Sci with his kindness.

From the music video, Sci would be the girl who continues working hard (even when being bullied and feeling depresses) to later realise how lonely he is in the end, with or without somebody. As for Edge, he's the boy who doesn't care about the future and enjoying the present until a point in time he needs to figure out what to do with the rest of his life (besides running away forever).

In the end, it's up to anybody's interpretation whatever happens after. They could destroy the school or even world but I prefer the idea about violence doesn't solve anything and rather overcoming the past together, becoming strong (mentally and physically), learn, forgive and continue living to move on.

Also, there are many things relating to my like UnderDespair AU like words can be used as a powerful weapon, nobody can control your own life and the "missiles" reminding me of "truth bullets" too. You can even change "kindness" to "hope" to make it more appropriate, like overcoming every despair but remaining clinging to hope.

"An annoying person like you..."

If I have to pick this or my traditional drawing, I would definitely prefer digital illustration. However, I still find flaws after posting this like the shading for Edge's sweater is too light and the zippers weren't the same as my usual shading because I was trying to have a backlight effect.

The hands could have done better in the anatomy but I'm still happy with it and use my own hands as reference (because the part  I'm using as a reference seems to be drawn incorrectly and different to my vision).

"...is somebody I despise!"

The tables and chairs are also flaws in my opinion because of how simple it is by making duplicates to cut some time then easily blur it, finding it somewhat distracting yet fitting.

Regardless, I love the use of colour and I have fun adding details over the simple background without going over-boarding. The colour green and dark blue on Sci was the only colours I had to colour-pick myself and it still turns out good in the finished artwork.

P.S. The captions in all four parts are written in my English translation of the song's lyrics to correspond with the Japanese subtitles there.
