5 Years Improvement [3126]

Sorry it's late but... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2022!

It's been 5 years since I continue making scifell content despite my inactivity lately. For this drawing, I've seen many people redrawing scenes from the Christmas party AU comic but I decided to remake one of my first earliest scifell drawings in CPAU designs instead.

BEFORE (2016)

On the right is my old version of this drawing which I use as a reference and base. Comparing the two versions, I definitely improved my anatomy by using photo references of my hands, especially after discovering the placement of Sci's hand holding the mug is more realistic since it's pretty heavy (when you're either drunk or tired in strength).

The downfall I need to improve is the time I spend working on it (over 10 hours total) mainly because of my health. I also traced the eggnog liquid from the old version before changing it a bit due to struggling with it.

I could have finished it in time yesterday but my wrist hurts for the whole day. I also didn't want to leave the background blank despite looking better on a white background (as a preview I shared on my Instagram stories). Making backgrounds by scratch is difficult because I end up being distracted by importing and testing many Photoshop brushes to see which ones would work.

Lastly, the original size is actually twice larger because I have a new desktop computer which makes me see the drawing fairly smaller or larger than I used to draw on my laptop (which couldn't handle large files).
