Pride - Doodle [3126]

Quick (warm up) sketch of my version of scifell's orientations.
On May 3rd, I was researching romantic orientations while trying to discover my own identity, but I end up sidetracked and confirm my version of scifell's attractions. Also, sexual orientations and romantic orientations are different attractions.

Asexual version
For Sci, he's demisexual. Initially, I thought of Sci as homosexual like nearly everyone else (because he finds Edge in CPAU "hot"), but it didn't make sense for my version of him after going over his backstories (mainly in UnderDespair). I also thought about him as asexual because he lacks sexual attraction so I made an alternate version (on the right).

In the end, demisexual is more an accurate label inside the umbrella term for my version of Sci. He's unluckily to be in a relationship, compare to other interests and it takes deep (emotional) connections for him to fall for someone (that matches his needs).

As for my version of Edge, I had a boyfriend who's straight and he told me it's also a spectrum that people who are heterosexual have a stronger preference to find the opposite sex more sexually attractive. I also thought of him as bisexual, but for my version of him (mainly in UnderDespair again), he's mostly heterosexual and finds very few men to be sexually attractive.

I mostly see Edge being exposed and attracted to girls at an early age for their physical appearance until he becomes sexually confused as an adult after Sci helps him educate and understand himself better — whether he's straight, gay or bi in the end. Also, I doubt many people had written a straight character who's afraid to admit his sexuality and becomes hostile when asked, fear of being judged or feeling unaccepted. To be honest, as a genderfluid person, I relate to the orientations I gave for Edge in some aspects.

Lastly, both are homoromantic. It's self-explanatory — both are more interested and comfortable being in a romantic relationship with the same gender as themselves.

Unfortunately, I won't be explaining my reasons in detail to refrain from sharing spoilers for UnderDespair. For Sci, he's more comfortable and feels more secure around guys who can balance each other's strengths and weaknesses. As for Edge, once he understands the difference between love and LOVE, he finds himself more vulnerable to try and open himself to another guy than a girl (due to past histories). Also, Edge is also demiromantic since he needs a strong bond with somebody he can fully trust.

Regardless of everything, you don't have to agree with the sexual and romantic orientations I gave them since they're basically my version of them — but don't expect me to upload NSFW content publicly though because I prefer to stick with making SFW art content as it's enough to make your imagination run wild to create your own interpretation and give you inspiration too!

Also, the orientations I gave them are mostly based on the attractions I wrote them in UnderDespair. For other scifell parodies and AUs, it all depends on the story and concept, which often end up together in some way.
