Bird photos used as reference, and characters belongs to kaori.kurry @ Instagram

Today's a boring day after waiting to book a dental appointment, but the weather was cool enough to go out later without the summer heat and do some shopping. After that, I didn't do much and wind down from outside and social interactions. I didn't have anything in mind to draw for the 7th day and decided on birds.
Yesterday, I asked and received Kaori's permission to use her photos of birds from her Instagram stories as references for myself to practice drawing them. However, I didn't save every image and went to her profile to draw their original creature and a pair of pigeons as a couple on a tree in a starry sky to fill the rest of the empty space.
Ever since I mainly draw in digital, transferring my drawing skills to traditional is an experience (and I'm not certain if anyone else also started as a digital artist into traditional) because I used to be frustrated in making traditional art, even in previous studies until I attended drawing class (with Barry as my teacher) in Graphic Design where I begin to have a passion to pick up my pen to draw on paper again.
Sometimes, I thought the long path of my life happened because I wasn't ready to have a career if I enrolled and studied to reach my dream job earlier with my poor mental health and past lack of skills — not just because I believed I made stupid mistakes and life choices. Still, the fact I began to believe like that is definitely a sign that I changed with more positive thinking.
