New Year's Prayer

Also, I'm redoing my 365 Days Challenge for this year!

I didn't finish my 365 Days Challenge from last year and was busy with college life. Some of the pages were done, but I never posted them publicly. Hopefully this year, I'll achieve one of my goals — draw at least once a day, regardless how crappy the drawing might be! 🙏

Originally, I have a comic idea I'll draw it out later! But for this drawing, I've always wanted to draw Sci in a traditional clothing for New Year's — and bunch of different outfits for them! 🤗

Funny, this whole week has been very cold in my area. The weather is completely unusual and polar opposite of the Australia's hot Summer season. Last year, it's also my first time experiencing rain during Christmas, and I hope it's not a sign for bad luck or something... Because of that, I decided to draw them in Japanese tradition of New Year's instead.

Besides Edge's wishes, my wish is the same as the other two, mostly wishing to continue remaining as good friends with everyone I'm already grateful for...! 😅

Ever since I understand a little more about my country since December's political changes and incidents, I realise there's an issue with employment due to overpopulation and mass immigration. As somebody born in Australia, it was frustrating throughout my years I still struggle and haven't got a good job after finding out the main cause of the decline. A lot of my Australian friends struggle to get a job too, and apparently, the issue is also happening outside my country after talking about it with a friend from the other side of the world. So yeah, a good job that I'll love to do and doesn't underpaid me is all I wanted.

One of Edge's wish was inspired by my best friend who desires to get a girlfriend who he can marry and reach his dream of having a family with kids before 30. Personally, I'm the opposite and prefer the unpressured idea of having a partner or just someone I can emotionally connect with that we can share each other's lives (by living together). It's also why I don't draw ship children, and rarely draw my favourite pairings sexually due to my personal preferences in relationships and my character dynamics for them.

In the end, I passed out asleep for most of my first day of 2026. I haven't post much in this blog lately, but hopefully that would change and wish 2026 to be a wonderful good year! 🥲🙏
